I called the association and was told these lots are NOT part of the Meadview Civic Association and there are NOT any annual dues.

If you wanted to become a member you would need to pay approx. $130 in fees. You can then use the amenities. Once you opt in you can not take the lot out of membership.

If you are looking to buy lots in Meadview be sure and verify if the unit has CCR's and read them as there are huge differences between units and even lots within a unit. PROPERTY INFORMATION

Your choice of 1+ Acre adj lots for sale in Meadview, Arizona by South Cove, Lake Mead National Rec Area and the Grand Canyon! Lot # 915 adjoins 1 square mile of BLM Land and then the Lake Mead National Rec Area!  It is believed to be the only town anywhere that actually is inside a National Park! It's about 2 hours SE of Las Vegas and you drive thru the giant Joshua trees along the way! It is a recreational paradise and a gorgeous setting for a fisherman looking for a place to retire and get away in the warm sunny desert!

All of the photos were taken of the property and its surrounding views in March 2022 and April 2023 of the properties and surrounding views. Sentinal Drive is a graveled bladed road along the north of lot # 883 and there is power running along it across the street kitty corner at the neighbors to the NE. Promontory Drive is a graveled bladed road along the south of lots 914 & 915.

You're going to want to put on good shoes and be careful as you walk the lots as there is gorgeous variety of cactus on the property and lots of pokeys! Wow were they incredible - perhaps one of the largest varieties I've ever seen on a single property! Stunning!

This big bird was keeping us company - at first I thought it had something in it's mouth but it actually has a white tipped beak - not sure what type of bird this is - if you do let me know!

This is the NW corner of lot # 915 where the property adjoins BLM land and there's a federal survey marker.

It sure is an incredible view across the narrow valley to the Grand Wash Cliffs that reach up to 6000'! On the other side of them is the Grand Canyon, one of the seven Natural Wonders of the World! It's also where the Grand Canyon Skywalk is located.

There is a low spot between the rolling hills that has a bit of an intermittent stream during heavy rains - sorta cool! And I'll say it again - what a beautiful variety of cactus and native plants!!

There is a neighbor kitty corner to the NW with a little cabin at the end of the culdesac on Sentinal.

The neighbor across the street to the NE on Sentinal.

I believe I took this photo from the east end of Promontory Drive looking west down the road at the property which sits in the hills.

These 3 lots sure make up a cool chunk of land! Lot 915 sits at the very end of the culdesac and adjoins 1 square mile of BLM land and then the Lake Mead National Rec Area!  The other 2 lots make up a very intersting piece as they comprise a rolling hill with a bit of an intermittent stream at the very bottom that is going to flow during heavy rains - sorta cool! They are already subdivided.

You can see in the parcel map how these lots adjoin and Lynn made a great aerial overlay map of it.

When I visited in April 2023 the neighbor stopped by to say hello - keeping an eye on things! Ha!

A gorgeous bloom in April 2023!

A few locals hanging out at the intersection to the east!

A cute quail running around the area!

I called the association and was told these lots are NOT part of the Meadview Civic Association and there are NOT any annual dues.  If you wanted to become a member you would need to pay approx. $130 in fees. You can then use the amenities. Once you opt in you can not take the lot out of membership. Membership includes the clubhouse with pool tables, a miniature golf course, outdoor swimming pool (seasonal), tennis courts, basketball courts, air hockey, and ping pong.

If you are looking to buy lots in Meadview be sure and verify if the unit has CCR's and read them as there are huge differences between units and even lots within a unit. I called the association and quickly got my questions answered! For me, the biggest difference is whether or not you can use your RV and you can with these lots!

Meadview sits on the easterly end of Lake Mead and the Grand Canyon. Lake Mead National Recreation Area is believed to be the only town anywhere that actually is inside a National Park and has access to Lake Mead and the Grand Canyon by personal watercraft.

On the other side of the hills to this property is Hualapai Wash. This wash drains into the Colorado and helps feed the Lake Mead area. The wash is about 1,560 square miles, extending further south towards Peach Springs. I drove a few miles N of Meadview to get a few photos of Lake Mead that sits on the west side of these mountains the property is a part of!

I then headed to South Cove Lake Mead which sits 13.5 miles north of the property and there were a few people out fishing. The water was so low and someone had to back their truck into the water - a bit hairy! That's my sister Cindy walking the beach - we spent a few days exploring the Lake Mead National Rec Area - oh I love living in Arizona!!!

Lynn did some research on the area and found out there are quite a few mines and mining prospects in the area! The most common thing found in this few square miles of land seems to be small amounts of gold. Please make sure if you want to go exploring the mines on BLM land that you have the proper permissions and practice safe exploring! Check out the USGS map showing some prospect and mining locations below - you can see a few within 1/2 mile of the property!

Lynn is also really into researching dam's and their history and while digging thru some of the history for the Lake Mead area, found this amazing map! It shows the historic range of the river before the Hoover Dam and shows Gregg Basin used to be the location of Greggs Ferry! Please note this map does not show any historical locations of Native American/Indigenous people settlements or structures.

I visited Pearce Ferry in March 2017 and included photos of the boats rafting the river and a beautiful huge heron out enjoying the stormy afternoon! A shout out to my beloved Buddy who sure enjoyed the storm brewing that afternoon!  Pearce Ferry has a ramp into both Lake Mead and the Colorado River but they were using a boom to get the boats up out of the water the water level was so low!

Meadview is a relaxing retirement community for those who love to play in the warm Arizonan sun and enjoy the country life! In addition to fishing and boating the area offers hiking, gold mining, and 4-wheeling. I picked this little treasure up at the tax sale and fell in love with it before I bought it - had to have all 3! Enjoy! Char the Explorer :)

Property Maps

Prior to visiting the property I suggest you study the maps and the satellite image as they tell the story on how to get there. Get a mental picture of how to get to a property from a main road. I frequently write notes on how I got to the property.

Print out the important maps like the parcel map, aerial photo with the GPS coords and street map. These are the maps I use myself if I was going to view the property. You can enter the latitude and longitude into Google or Bing maps by putting a comma between them.

I also suggest you bring a street dedicated GPS like a Garmin, not your phone. Do not rely on your GPS to take you the correct way as she'll take you down miles of roads that aren't the main drags. I've named mine Thelma and Louise because she's tried to drive me off a cliff a few times! If I could just get Brad Pitt to sit in the back seat! : )

Most of the properties I sell are down some kind of dirt road - my favs! Be smart and bring a shovel, water, food, blankets, mace, a dog and anything else you might need if you get stuck for a day or two. I've been stuck in the sand, a marsh, had tires blow out - you name it. Be prepared, be safe, and have fun. She's a beautiful Earth. We only get one shot here - get out there and see all she has to offer. Char the Explorer : )

Lake Havasu, Lake Mead, Kingman, Yucca, Las Vegas, and Mojave Desert Area

Lake Havasu, Lake Mead, Kingman, Yucca, Las Vegas, and Mojave Desert Area

All of these photos were taken on our journeys thru Tehachapi, Red Rock, the Mojave Desert, California City, Aerial Acres, Mojave, Barstow, Las Vegas, Lake Mead, Meadview, Lake Havasu, Yucca, and the Pacific Ocean. Whew!

I started traveling through this part around 2002. I saw towns like Victorville and Lancaster improving major roads. Then I started seeing lots of employees standing on street corners on the weekends with shaker signs pointing potential home buyers to come check out their new developments. I notice that Highway 14 which goes through Mojave to the Bakersfield-Barstow Highway had improvements being made to it in January 2007. I noticed quite a bit of new businesses in California City.

In May 2011 I was stunned to see the number of windmills that covered hillsides and valley floor as I made my way down to Mojave. The windmills came right to the western edge of the town. I also saw quite a few solar projects down on the valley floor in Barstow! Holy cow is this place ever hopping with energy! We have had quite a few people asking us if we have any land for development there. I read in September 2011 that there is currently several planned solar projects in this area!

The Colorado River, Lake Mead, Lake Havasu and Lake Mohave make this the hot spot place to be for water sports in greater Southern California, Western Arizona and Southern Nevada!

A video of our journey to Meadview and the Pearce Ferry Landing in March 2017! We watched the Hualapai River Runners pull white water rafting boats coming from Peach Springs out of the Colorado River!

Here is a video of a wild burro that stopped by to say hi in Golden Valley by the Black Mountains - experience of a lifetime!
