For the first time in 14 years Las Cruces hosted The Mesilla Valley Balloon Rally January 17-19, 2025. I've been wanting to visit Las Cruces for quite some time since the land I sell on the east side of the Florida Mountains is about 45 miles W of Las Cruces. Las Cruces is a medium sized town of about 115,000. I stayed in the University area and visited the old downtown area and found it easy to get around. Oh my was it ever unusually cold as I headed out just as the sun was coming up to watch them take off or properly known as the mass ascension! Super cute to watch and I found my way to an uncrowded parking lot over looking it all!
