1.61 acres of land for sale in Rimrock Meadows with pretty views of the snow capped Cascade Mountains by Wenatchee, Ephrata and Moses Lake. The property has great access along a graveled road and would be an easy place to pull an RV or build a getaway! Its a gorgeous property at the edge of the Moses - Coulee, a huge canyon formed years ago that cuts through the Columbia River Plateau. It has stunning views of the flood carved, steep walled cliffs formed years ago and there were pretty spring time flowers blooming!

All of the pictures were taken in May 2013 of the property and its surrounding views. It was a pretty drive along the mesa to get to the top of Morgan Drive and once we got to the top we noted it was "5 STARS FOR THE BEST VIEWS!" This is a big lot with amazing views from the NW to SW of Moses-Coulee. There are actually incredible views in all directions but that one is stunning! The parcel sits high up from the road overlooking other lots from the top of the mesa down towards McCartney Creek.

It looks like if you built a driveway in from the NE side of the property you would have some pretty incredible views! There are already two beautiful homes built at the top of their blocks to the S and SW with similar views. There is an adjoining RV lot to the north.

There are pretty mountains to the SW and beyond them you can see the snow-capped Cascade Mountains looming large over them! It was a bit cloudy over them that day but you can still see the large patches of snow on her mountain sides! It was 75°+ in May already! Wow! It was a nice breezy day and you could hear the gusts of wind slightly and hear the crickets buzzing!

Coulee is another name for a deep gulch or ravine. The Moses - Coulee was cut out by the flow of lava by huge flood 15,000 years ago from a lake in Montana. This canyon cuts across the otherwise flat landscape. This sure is a playground for those who live in Western Washington like us! There are numerous "natural wonders" in the surrounding areas such as Grand Coulee Dam, Coulee City, Steamboat Rock, the Columbia River, Sun Lake, Soap Lake, Moses Lake Whisper Lake and Lake Chelan. It is a beautiful drive to the subdivision with rolling wheat fields along the way as well as the hillsides surrounding Rimrock Meadows.

Rimrock Meadows offers a large swimming pool, RV and tent sites, tennis courts, a playground, big barbeque pit, 7100 acres to roam, trailer storage and a rustic clubhouse with kitchen facilities. I am impressed with how well the facilities are maintained by the property owners association! You can build a home there or put in a manufactured home but most of the people use it to pull in their RV and enjoy the fishing in the area, the pool at the club house, ATV riding, and snowmobiling in the area!! What a great spot to get away in the winter or summertime.

My Aunt Marla used to take me to the State Park down the road from this subdivision when I was a kid where we camped in tents and swam at the lake all day. I remember looking at the big interesting rocks that surrounded the lake and had never seen anything like it before – very interesting.

The property is zoned for either a home or an RV and it is just begging for an owner to come use it! It would be a great spot to take your family fishing, swimming, quads, snowmobiles and is a great jumping off spot to many lakes and trails! Or you could just sit and marvel like I did! Enjoy! All of these photos were taken on our journeys to Rimrock Meadows in Douglas County, Washington! Located on the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains, its located about 16 miles NW of Ephrata, WA. Wenatchee is the largest nearby town about 40 minutes SW. Its located on the edge of the Moses Coulee, a huge canyon formed years ago that cuts through the Columbia River Plateau.

There is an RV storage area for $120 a year for those who want to leave their RV in a secure place while they are away. I am impressed with how well the facilities are maintained by the property owners association!

Owners of Rimrock Meadows property have private access to land that borders along the west side of the Moses Coulee and McCartney Creek. The Rimrock Corporate board of directors made the decision to not sell or develop the 2800 acres that was owned on the west side of the creek. Instead they made the decision to sell the development rights to The Nature Conservancy. What this means is that the property will never be developed and you as an owner in Rimrock Meadows will have private access including hunting rights in some areas.
