We have reduced several of the down payments required for contracts from 50% to 100% meaning zero down financing!
And a special shout out to our 7 year old mascot, Buddy, who loves to spend his days exploring land with me - lucky dog!

Warning: this is a long read - but oh so worth it! : )
This 10 acres of land for sale with FABULOUS views sits about eight miles S of Montello, Nevada in Elko County. It sits in the NE corner of NV by the Utah and Idaho state lines. Its well off the beaten path yet only about 30 minutes N of Interstate 80. Its tucked at the bottom of the Toano Mountains and she is so close you can see the trees running down her hillsides!
Derek took the photos while I sat and wrote about this property when we viewed it in June 2012. I wrote two pages about how beautiful this was. Its such a rare find for us to pick up a piece tucked away in this part of the valley! Nice! I was going on and on to him about it when he got back in the truck. I noticed it was a bit hot outside for him and as we left the property I said it was time for a break - that poor red tomato needed a cool drink and some time in the air conditioning to cool him off. So for the first time ever I stopped and smelled the roses at the Cowboy Cafe Bar in Montello for a bite to eat.
I noticed a few locals sitting together and after a while I went over and introduced myself. I sure enjoyed chatting with my new friends from the "Bacardi Tribe" ha! They educated me about the Sacred part of the Toano Mountains to the Native Americans, where the boot is.I had just sat in that spot an hour before marveling at how beautiful she is going on and on to Derek that we seldom have ever sold land in this part of the valley- what a treat! And what an experience! I am so drawn to this part myself and I love to explore all over this place!
They also told me that the Pilot Mountains, Toano Mountains and the valley between is filled with arrows, old sewing needs and lots more remnants from those who lived here many, many years ago! Oh I just fell more in love with Montello! : ) Thanks guys - what a fabulous life!
All of the photos were taken in June 2012 of the property itself and the surrounding views. We got to the property from Pilot Road to the east even though it is much easier just to come in off of paved hwy 233. There is a graveled road with a gate across it and a faded sign that says to close the gate and I included a photo of that road..showing my muscles as I am usually the one hopping out to open and close gates! We know who really works the hardest! Ha! There is power running along this graveled road and I estimated that this is 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile away. You will need to contact the local power company to know just how close and the cost and we have their phone number at the office.
From the graveled road there is a dirt road that leads north along the section line and another one that runs along the east section line. A section equals one square mile and you can see these little squares on the section and blm maps. This property sits 10 acres away from each road which is where I took the photos from. You can see in the parcel map how the property sits within the section.
The sagebrush is short and we could have driven over it in the truck to get to it but Derek walked out to it. There is also a dedicated easement so you can improve the road the rest of the ways to the property which is only ten acres away.
We took the long way in so you don't have to! What fun would it have been if we missed the cool rocks on the east side of this cool little hill that pops out of the valley floor! Derek started a new game called Where's Baldo and scrambled up to the top of the rocks to hide his bald head in the rocks! Oh we had a lot of fun out exploring land that day and these rocks are just a short distance from the property and a fun place to go play!
The property itself sits at the base of the Toano Mountain Range at the part just before it swings to the east forming a ridge between you and the rest of the valley to the east and south. Its tucked at the base of these mountains and keeps you hidden! It is part of a big gentle rolling hill with a medium to gradual slope to the NE. Its nicely covered in sagebrush.
The rest of the range of the Toano Mountains sit on the other side of the tracks from the west to the nw. I could write for another hour or so, it is so pretty here looking at the beautiful treed Toano Mountains sitting just down the road from us to the south! Oh she is so pretty with such big trees running down her hillsides and covering her peaks!
There is a pretty grove of trees that runs down out of these hills to the SW and I suspect this is a big intermittent stream between the rolling hills - very cute. The rest of the range of the Toano Mountains sit on the other side of the tracks from the W to the NW.
You can see the train tracks and I can hear it charging in the distance "Chugachug Choo Choo!" :-). This would be a great spot for someone who loves to watch the train go by and truly appreciates her humming in the distance. I love to snap photos of her over the years as the trains go through Montello and actually later on in the day I stood beside the train tracks N of Montello as she blew by, feeling her enormous energy!
From the N to the SE are the Pilot Mountains with a peak at the majestic Pilot Peak standing so ever tall and proud at 10,715 feet to the SE. There are bigger views of the range across the Pilot Valley from the NE to the E once you get around the boot. At the very top of the range to the NE is Rhyolite Butte. The little town of Montello sites to the north in the valley - she looks like a tree farm on the valley floor from here
The small town of Montello offers a gas/mini grocery store, post office, and restaurant. Wendover is a larger town to the SE about 40 minutes on Interstate 80 and people in this valley commute there for work as well as groceries. There is also a mine that has been expanding its operations along I80 to the S.
The big town of Elko is about 1.5 hours west. I saw signs along the interstate by Elko advertising that they need workers! I have heard several times over the past year about the shortage of homes for the workers in the Elko area! Its so nice to see the continued good economy there!
Okay - so you've probably read enough! I also included a few photos as we drove the other side of the Pilot Mountains on our way out seeing the Great Salt Lake and gorgeous elk and deer! Enjoy! Char the Explorer : )
