All of these photos were taken on our journeys to the Nimrod River Park Subdivision. It includes all units as well as and the surrounding areas of Sprague River Beatty, and Klamath Falls in Klamath County!
Nimrod River Park is located in South Central Oregon about 45 minutes NE of Klamath Falls by Sprague River and Beatty. Klamath County is located in the eastern foothills of the Cascade Mountains, bordering northern California. Klamath Falls, the fourth largest county in Oregon, is the county seat as well as the largest nearby town.
Parts of are Tableland, a mesa above the Sprague River Valley that then drops down the mountainside to the valley floor to the river as it meanders thru the valley floor. The photos include many of the different units. I have definitely seen the roads become more improved since I started exploring land here. It appears all of the roads were bladed when it was originally subdivided and many are improved with gravel or bladed gravel/dirt.
The subdivision covers several square miles along the main paved road, Drews Ranch Road also called Drews Road on some maps. I love the drive to Klamath Falls and I have seen flock after flock of birds, hunters, pelicans along the river, cowboys and then some! I always have my camera charged and ready for the drive when I head out to explore land here in the morning! My job doesn't get any better! It's a beautiful place especially for bird lovers as it sits on the Pacific Flyway
The population of Sgrague River is about 365 and has a couple of stores with basic necessities and there is also a post office. You would do your major shopping about an 45 minutes away in Klamath Falls where you will find Wal-Mart and the county courthouse.
The Winema and Fremont National Forest sit only a few miles to the north! Nearby is the OC & E Woods Line State Trail which is an old 100-mile trail open to all non-motorized recreation including bicyclists, pedestrians and equestrians. The area is known as Oregon's Outback, and provides the self-reliant recreationist the opportunity to discover nature in a rustic environment. I obtained the following information on the US Forest Service website: "The Fremont-Winema National Forests offer 2.3 million acres to explore! The heavily timbered western portion of the forests is bordered by the crest of the Cascade Mountain Range and Crater Lake National Park, and stretches east into the Klamath River Basin, an area known for its year-round sunshine. Near the floor of the Basin, the forest opens to vast marshes and meadows associated with Upper Klamath Lake and the Williamson River."

This area is a favorite for many seeking a rural setting off the beaten path and is a beautiful place for those that want to live in the countryside! It is a gorgeous area on the pacific flyway and a fisherman's and hunter's paradise! I often get asked for property in this area by people that don't want a lot of restrictions and I mention this as a good option. Zoned for either a home or a manufactured home this is a great place for someone seeking a rural area off the beaten path with plenty of privacy!
