Your choice of adjoining sets of treed lots in Tanglewood Lakes in La Cygne, Kansas zoned for a home or RV camping. It's about 1 hour S of Kansas City, KS, 3 hours E of Wichita and 2.5 Hours NW of Springfield, MO in Linn County. It's a fisherman's paradise with 3 stocked private lakes that require no fishing licenses because it's private property! What a great spot for a home or weekend getaway with swimming, water skiing, boat ramp, dock and fishing tournaments!

All of the photos were taken in July 2017 of the properties and we noted which photos are of which lots in the notes below. The image #'s are at the top of the photos. W. Lou Ann Drive is an excellent graveled road running along the E of all of the lots and it also has power running along it. You would need to contact the local power company for the cost to put a power pole on a property.

They sit on the far W side of the subdivision and beyond the tree line to the N & W are agricultural farms and it's a pretty countryside to watch the seasons of the crops! This creates tons of privacy along these lots to the W!

There lake sits about 3/10 of a mile E of lots 4 & 5 along Lou Ann Drive and also 2/10 of a mile S of lots 7, 8 & 9 along NW Lakeside Drive so walking distance to the lake from both sets of lots! This area is somewhat busier than the others I visited and there were a few neighbors scattered about the area and people enjoying their properties with their RV's.

Available Plat 17 Lots 4 & 5 Total 18,200 Sq Feet. Notes: We are selling these 2 adjoining lots together. See images 1 - 60. These are flat lots with a great variety of trees with some evergreens on the east side, lots of underbrush and very grassy. It looks like quads have cut a path across the top of lot #4 and you can see on Google Earth that it winds thru the woods and comes back out at a few places along the main drag. I saw some frogs hopping out of the mud puddle - cute. There were neighbors camping next door and there is a neighbor across the street.

Available Plat 18 Lots 7, 8 & 9 Total 23,400 Sq Feet. Notes: We are selling these 3 adjoining lots together. See images 91 - 110 . These sure are pretty lots that would be ready for an RV if you just cleared them. They are covered with thin medium trees, lots of prickly bushes and it was so thick that I couldn't walk thru the trees. It looks like it's a bit thinner at the back of the lot. There's a neighbor across the street that's nicely cleared a pretty spot to pull in their RV. It sure would be a nice spot to hang out in your RV in those pretty trees! : )

Tanglewood Lake is in La Cygne (pronounced luh SEEN), KS less about an 1 hour S of greater Kansas City, 3 hours E of Wichita, and 2.5 hours NW of Springfield, MO in Linn County. It's close enough to Kansas City to escape for the day and take the kids fishing and swimming! It has a population of about 1100 and the county has a population of 9536.

La Cygne is located on the E bank of the Marais des Cygnes River a few miles SW of the city of Linn Valley. The summers are hot and humid and winters are mild to cool. There are 4 schools serving more than 100 students with 2 elementary schools, a middle school and a high school.

Tanglewood Lake subdivision has several amenities for the property owners include 3 lakes. The largest lake covers about 135 acres and you can water ski, tube, use a personal water craft and fish on that lake. The two other lakes are 30 and 9 acres. Watercraft are not allowed on either of these two lakes although you can use a battery powered craft on the 9 care lake. The two smaller lakes are for fishing and swimming.

I copied this information off the land owners website as to what all the annual dues are used for: As a private community we are responsible for maintaining all Common Properties. Common properties include roadways, park areas, shower house, boat ramps & docks, office, waste lagoon and dams. We are also responsible for items such as insurance, property tax, payroll, utilities, professional fees and general maintenance on equipment and property.

The Linn County Park & Marina sits about 15 miles NE on La Cygnes Lake, a 2600 acre lake. Known as the big bass capital of SE Kansas, the warm waters of the LaCygne Lake offers fishers an excellent opportunity in both summer and winter months. Only a state fishing license is required to enjoy fishing at this public lake. Duck and goos hunting is permitted on the lake.

It's about 45 minutes from the historic Fort Scott’s civil war memories. There are antique shops in every direction, an Amish Farmer’s Market, where you can pick up many organically-grown meats, vegetables and homemade treats. There is a strong sense of safety and stability within the community, with little-to-no crime.

Pleasanton is another small town in the area with a population of 1176. It was founded in 1869 and named after General Alfred Pleasonton, the victorious Union General at the Battle of Mine Creek. It's built in and around the battlefield site which is considered by many to be the only major Civil War battlefield in Kansas. It's also home of Cookee's Drive-In which has been voted "Best" for several years in a row and Amber agrees!

Over the years we have found information to be incorrect like a road that shows on an aerial photo or street map that we can't find because it is overgrown or doesn't exist or a difference in GPS settings.
