I noticed some pretty big sized bees amongst the flowers and chose to take all of the photos from the road and not walk thru the property! I spotted a beautiful dragonfly which my Mom researched (she's into that stuff) and found out is a young Halloween Pennant Dragonfly with yellow wings and dark bands. They get their name from the adults which are orange-yellow with dark brown bands. There's great detail of the dragonfly holding the flower with its front hands ever so delicately! They actually eat small insects, so are they stopping to "smell the roses" or is there an insect hidden in there?! The dragonfly starts to grow in water and then moves into the air and flies and is a symbol of transformation and change to many. It sure was a lot prettier than the big bee!
This lot is referred to as camping lot. Some lots are referred to as building lots and others are called camping lots. All of the lots allow you to build a home/manufactured home on them. All lots also allow you to use an RV or tent. The difference between the two is that the building lots allow camping from April thru October but the camping lots allows RV use all year round. Majority of the property owners enjoy the lots recreationally during the warmer months and about 250 people live here year round.
The annual dues for each lot is $173 per year. The amenities include a 9 hole par 36 golf course, a 90 acre main lake for water skiing, fishing and swimming, a 9 acre spring fed lake for smaller boats and fishing and 9 other bodies of water for fishing, a community swimming pool, beach, camping area, and clubhouse.
We picked a large group of these lots up at a foreclosure sale and are able to pass them along at a fabulous price! I think the last time we sold properties here was in 2003 and it sure is nice to see properties in Kansas once again!
